1. Quality of people
Cancer Therapy and Gene Therapy & Molecular Biology is publishing research articles and review articles that are peer-reviewed from experts and established authorities. Members of the Editorial Board are selected for their excellence in this field and important recent contributions in research. Members of the Editorial Board have over 100 published peer-reviewed articles in their CV. We have made every effort to recruit as Board Members persons who are active in research and able to devote time in Editorial activities. Board Members are being elected for 4 years but could serve additional 4-year terms.

2. Editorial Process
Peer reviewing is accomplished by members of the Editorial Board and external referees. The authors can suggest reviewers. However, we approach as external referees eminent authorities who are active in research in each particular subfield.
Communication between the authors and the Journals as well as between the reviewers and the Journals is primarily via e-mail. The peer-reviewing process is completed preferably within 3-weeks and we urge the reviewers for a rapid response. Two positive comments from two reviewers warrant publication (with or without suggested minor changes). In cases of one positive and one negative review we approach additional reviewers; in this case we need two additional positive reviewer's comments and no negative "reject" suggestion for final acceptance for publication. Authors are being requested to address all comments raised by the reviews and send the modified version which needs to meet the final approval of the reviewers.
Articles appear on the web site, with free access to all, immediately upon approval and correction of author's proofs. Authors receive their free reprints within 2 months from acceptance of their contribution. They also receive a hard-bound Volume (see below).

3. Format of Publication
This publication first appears electronically. Electronic publication at www.cancer-therapy.org or www.gtmb.org proceeds after acceptance of manuscripts and correction of final author's proofs within one week. All authors receive 25 complimentary reprints of their article within one month from electronic publication. In addition, all authors and Editorial Board Members receive a complimentary hard-bound volume. The hard-bound volume is available in September for the January-June issues and in February of next year for the July-December issues.

4. Motivation and place in the field.

-What need does our journal fulfill?

These journals promote rapid publication of important review and research articles in their fields to promote scientific research and clinical development as well as to encourage exchange and communication of ideas and results. They differ from other journals in the field in several respects:
GTMB embraces and hybridizes two related disciplines: Gene Therapy and Molecular Biology with emphasis on molecular mechanisms.
Cancer Therapy aims at cross-fertilizing disciplines that range from molecular mechanisms and anticancer drug discovery to clinical results.
Since there are no page charges or charges for color figure reproduction scientific merit is the major determinant factor for these publications.
Hope that the panel members shall appreciate our efforts and will grant to these journals the prestige they deserve to better serve the scientific community.
